I ran into a problem with my instrument panel lights not coming on when turning the headlight switch on. The daytime light would work but when the headlight switch was turned headlights and instrument panel lights would not come on. I replaced the headlight switch with a switch that that matched up with the wire connections on the back of the switch. With the new switch the headlights would flash on and off but the dash lights would work fine now. I took the old switch and cleaned all of the terminals and reinstalled the old switch. The old switch started working again and I now have panel lights. I took both switches apart and found that inside the switches there were slide connections that were different. Just because the terminal ends look the same on a switch doesn’t mean they are the same inside. I do not know the actual part number for the old switch or I would post it. This is just a FYI. Your situation could be different. This was also on a 2002 Pace Arrow 35G.
