Understanding RV Overhead Light Options
When it comes to RV lighting, choosing the right type of bulb can significantly impact both energy consumption and comfort. Most older RVs traditionally utilize the 1156 bulb; however, many owners are now considering LED bulbs for their overhead lighting options. Below is an image of the back of a duel 1156 bulb fixture.
As you can see it heated the headliner to a condition were it could have started a fire. I was unaware the this condition was occurring. I replaced this fixture with a compact led fixture which can be purchased by clicking the image below.

I purchased the above product myself and installed it in place of the older 1156 duel bulb fixture as seen installed in the image below. I purchased the 4 pack so I can replace other fixtures as needed. I have read diferent reviews from good to bad, but I usually discount the bad reviews as those who dont do the installation properly. I have 2 of these fixtures in use now and they both work fine. The other fixture is in my clothes closet.
